  • BlogChangeBot

BlogChangeBot uses weblogs.com‘s updated weblog feed, which is generated from pings. Since I’m in the free user ghetto I need to manually ping weblogs.com to get this to work. Paid users just have to enable it. Of course since this is using Moveable Type weblogs.com pings are built in. So there.

  • Another RSS Feed

I just wrote a script to grab the latest headlines from the Metro Times News Hits. The feed is at http://george.hotelling.net/rss/metrotimes.rss and yes, it’s I think will be creating a syndication user on LiveJournal soon, and I’ll be sure to update this when that gets done.

  • HTTP Snob [Updated]

called me an HTTP snob for saying I’d do this, but I don’t think it’s so bad. Duane recently started publishing his own RSS feed at http://etc.leinninger.com/duane-rss.php so that I don’t have to. In response, I used .htaccess to redirect my URI to his with a 301 status code. Investors would buy and sell futures contracts — essentially a series of predictions about what they believe might happen in the Mideast. […]

  • Show Some Love!

I just found out that today is System Administrator Appreciation Day! Show some love for the people who keep your computer working and your Internet connection running just so you can read LiveJournal all day. They are the unsung heros of your life, keeping your email running and your mp3s flowing. Besides, if you don’t […]

  • Morning After

I went down to take a look at the aftermath and ran into . I took a few pictures with my phonecam, which sucks a bit at 640×480. Last post on the subject, I promise.
